Covid-19 Updated Appointment Policies and Procedures

The following Covid-19 updated policies and procedures should be read in conjunction with my general policies and procedures. You can find my general policies and procedures, alongside my privacy policy and other legal notices by clicking here.

In line with government guidelines, there are currently several extra precautions that need to be followed during appointments.  These will be in place until restrictions change, and are current until at least 17th May 2021.  While they may seem restrictive, they are in place to protect us all, and they are currently law, so please ensure you follow them when attending your appointment.

Luckily, the footfall through Lucky Sixpence Bridal is very low in comparison to a high street store which makes social distancing easier to manage.  I also limit the number of appointments I book thus reducing the number of people who attend the premises, ensuring that I keep us all as safe as I can.

What you need to know – before your appointment:

As before, I will operate on an appointment only basis

Anyone with (or who has had close contact with someone who has) Covid-19 symptoms should postpone their appointment in line with government self-isolation rules. Any visitor appearing to be unwell or displaying symptoms will be asked to leave for their own safety as well as others.

Appointment length will remain at 90 minutes but the number of appointments booked each week will be limited to allow enough time to sanitise any dresses tried on, between appointments.  

Any dresses or accessories tried on and all surfaces and touch points will be thoroughly cleaned between appointments.

To adhere with social distancing rules, numbers will be limited to the bride plus ONE ADULT guest only for each appointment. At present, mixing outside households or support bubbles is not allowed, so any guest should be from your own household or support bubblePlease note, no exception will be made to this and no additional guests, babies, or children will be admitted.

Please only book an in-person appointment if you are ready to purchase your gown to reduce the number of visits to the premises.

What you need to know – during your appointment:

If you have the NHS track and trace app, I have a QR code for you to log your arrival, so please use this if you can.

Hand sanitiser will be provided. You are kindly asked to use it on arrival and before leaving, as well as throughout the appointment as you wish.

Unfortunately, no drinks will be offered at this time, although you are very welcome to bring your own in a non-spill container/bottle. Also, except for exceptional circumstances, the toilet will also remain closed, as it is located inside my home.

Unless exempt, face coverings will need to be worn by all, including me, throughout your appointment in accordance with government guidelines.  I have some disposable face masks available for you to use if you wish, or feel free to bring your own.  Please take this with you at the end of your appointment and dispose of it at home.  All of my gowns are displayed in clear dress bags which can be easily cleaned between appointments; therefore, gloves do not need to be worn, but you may bring/wear your own if you wish.

If possible, please ask your guest to help you into the dresses.  If they are unable to help you then I will assist you.  Time in the fitting room will be kept as short as possible to help limit close contact and I will be standing behind you the whole time – please remain facing forward while I am helping you. I will socially distance myself from you as much as possible throughout the rest of your appointment.

Your guest will be asked to remain seated when they are not helping you into a dress to enable easier movement around the building. Please only touch the dresses and accessories that you wish to try on, and ask your guest to do the same. Thank you.

I understand that these guidelines seem quite strict, and you may worry that your appointment won’t be as special as you hoped.  Please rest assured that I will do my absolute best to ensure your experience here, at Lucky Sixpence Bridal, is as perfect as it can be.
